Irie Vibes is a Brampton-based ensemble that performs a unique fusion of musical styles including reggae, ska, calypso and rock music. This instrumental ensemble includes trombonist and bandleader Mike Smith, saxophonist Matt Palmer, vocalist Tonie Robinson-Miller, guitarist Frank Adriano, bassist Tamara Fernandes and drummer William Snodgrass.

      

     Members of Irie Vibes are a diverse group of musicians from different cultures with rich and varied musical experiences. They can be found playing their eclectic blend of music in various pubs and restaurants, and they always bring the irie vibes!

     Irie Vibes began when Mike Smith recruited some fellow members of the Brampton Concert Band to begin exploring the reggae style. Mike shared many reggae and ska tunes, and eventually broadened the repertoire to include genres that represent all of the band's members. They are constantly diversifying their musical palette drawing on the unique strengths, backgrounds, and multi-instrumental capabilities found in the group.
