     The Sidemen play standards, and not so standards, following in the tradition of Jazz legends; Music that sets the mood, makes you feel good, fulfilled, sad, frisky, challenged, mellow and content! We also write and arrange our own originals!

     Jerry Quintyne is a multi-instrumentalist, focusing on tenor, soprano and alto saxophones along with the clarinet, bass clarinet and bassoon. He studied and graduated from York University as a music major. Jerry has been active in the jazz scene in the GTA for a number of years and is a regular at ‘Joe’s Jam’; a B-Jazzed produced event hosted by Wendel Clark’s Classic Grill and Bar every Friday night in downtown Brampton.

     Chris Udell got his love for music playing country and western as a boy with family members and later migrated through various musical realms such as rock n’ roll and music theatre. He studied jazz at Humber College and has since played with the Jazz Mechanics Big Band for 25+ years. He is a well-known local musician having worked professionally for over 20 years in various bands.

     Paul Llew-Williams is a skilled and versatile guitarist with a diverse musical background. He has been teaching music in the Peel region for the past 28 years and is excited to now focus all of his creative energies on his own music. He is influenced by Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, and Kenny Burrell. He also runs P.Llew-Williams Studios and enjoys the challenges of working with new and upcoming young artists in any genre.

     Greg has been playing drums and percussion for over 35 years in various bands and genres. He has studied with two of the greats of the Canadian jazz world: Terry Clarke and Mark Kelso. He also studied music at York University where he met Jerry Quintyne. Greg and Paul also played together in Trio Loco and The Brickhouse Trio.
