Toronto-based pianist Duncan Wilson (b. 2002) is an exciting and versatile voice in Canadian jazz. Since 2023, Duncan has led one of the most consistently working piano trios in Ontario featuring Christopher Parnis on bass and Petros Anagnostakos on drums. Duncan's playing style and compositions combine the beloved familiarity of classic jazz piano recordings with a 21st-Century freshness and intensity. His catchy melodies and inspiring grooves have helped him connect with audiences at the finest venues and festivals across Ontario. In addition to his academic training at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Music, the Orillia, Ontario native has learned his craft by sharing the bandstand with many masters of the Toronto jazz scene, including Dave Young, Terry Clarke, Don Thompson, Alex Dean, Kevin Turcotte, and many more. Also known as one of the city's most in-demand sidemen, Duncan's playing can be heard on Jack Zorawski's 2026 album Another Rhythm Song.
